Course Objective:

This course investigates the distinctive environmental and climatic characteristics
of the twelve primary meridians as interpreted within Sa-Am Acupuncture and
classical East Asian medical literature. Particular emphasis is placed on how the
theories of the Six Qi, the Five Elements, and the foundational principles of
the Huangdi Neijing and Shang Han Lunare integrated within Sa-Am Medicine.
Students will analyze how the inherent nature of each meridian reflects
corresponding climatic influences and will learn how this relationship informs the
diagnosis and treatment of both root (ben) and branch (biao) patterns. In
addition, the course highlights the safety, simplicity, and clinical efficacy of the
Sa-Am system, which relies on distal point selection and minimal needling.
