General Information

Wayne Cheng, L.Ac. OMD. Dipl. Ac

Dr. Wayne Cheng received his Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2000 and Doctoral degree in 2006 from South Baylo University. His journey of becoming a healer began in high school, while spending a few hours a week working for a well-known herbalist in the neighborhood. It was a way of earning allowance and getting out of trouble. During his final year of study at South Baylo University, he was given an internship opportunity at an acupuncture clinic in Long Beach, where he first experienced what is like being a “real” acupuncturist. Since then, he has been practicing acupuncture in the state of California since 2000, including 3 years in New York City during 2001 to 2003 and had his own practice in San Juan Capistrano from 2003 to 2008, prior to relocating to Taiwan for 4 years. During his employment at South Baylo University, he has taught various courses including herbalogy, OM nutrition, advanced practice management and served as doctoral program director from 2012 to 2018. He is currently working alongside M.D., Chiropractor and Physical Therapist at Santa Ana Health Group and Medical Associates.
