Sandjaya Tri, MD, PhD, DAOM, Dipl. Acu, CSAS

Dr. Tri graduated as a medical doctor in Indonesia and has over 14 years of clinical experience in family medicine across the hospital and private practice settings. He then pursued the study of acupuncture and oriental medicine, receiving his Masters and Doctoral degrees from South Baylo University and Yuin University. Additionally, he has extensive training in clinical research from the Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center/USC and is certified in Orthopedic Acupuncture and in Zhu Neuro Acupuncture.

Dr. Tri has been serving the practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine as an Instructor and Clinic Supervisor for 18 years at South Baylo University and is currently also the Clinic Director.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The goal of this course is for learners to be better able to improve the medical management of patients with post stroke due to cerebral ischemic injury.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding pathophysiology/pathogenesis of stroke and the clinical manifestations with early diagnostic methods required for prompt treatment and rehabilitation management, as well as the possible healing mechanisms of actions of acupuncture and scalp acupuncture.
  • Have greater competence related to integrated medical approach in clinical practice to optimize the brain function recovery with minimal complications of post ischemic stroke.
